minimax Minimum Space, Maximum Amenity. A modest budget for an apartment interior renovation led to the exploration of how to do more with less. The client brief included maximising storage and the creation of a playful, fresh and calm space in what was a dilapidated one bedroom flat.
With a focus on sustainability and value for money, second hand fixtures and materials have been sourced throughout and existing services left in place. Cork flooring was selected as a regenerative material which gives the apartment a warmth that feels comfortably lived-in.
The neutral palette of wall and floor materials are offset with carefully considered moments of colour applied to each room. Storage is prioritised and includes a concealed desk, high level shelving, and well-detailed cabinetry in each room. The outcome is a playful and surprisingly generous apartment filled with personality.
